Ranjit started his professional career as financial analyst for Kidder, Peabody & Co., an investment bank, in New York City in 1991. After serving two years working with the firm’s corporate restructuring group, Ranjit joined Kohlberg & Co., a New York based mid-market leveraged buyout and growth capital private equity firm. In 1995, he moved to San Francisco to open the firm’s San Francisco office and became a general partner of the firm in 1998.
In 2001, he moved back to New York, and founded Ravelin Capital to manage capital on behalf of himself and select family offices with the mandate to invest in buy-and- build strategies and late stage companies. In 2007, he joined Ithmar Capital as a general partner and continues with the firm in the capacity as a founding shareholder and member of the board of directors and investment committee.
He is also a co-founder of Athena Global Partners which develops, finances and operates companies in the well-being industry with a primary focus on preventive care. He is also a
member of the board of directors of AMI, LLC (Saudi Arabia) and Dewan Architects & Engineers, LLC (UAE). He has proven experience and expertise in governance, organizational development and behavior, strategic and tactical planning, and corporate finance. Ranjit obtained a BA-Economics from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor in 1991 and a Master of Business Administration in 2005 from the London Business School.
